Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and other QA tools to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Design, prepare, and execute test cases based on functional and non-functional specifications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate bug-tracking tools.
• Participate in test case reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Implement best practices in test automation and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Perform regression testing and validate bug fixes to ensure consistent software quality.
• Provide detailed reports on testing progress, results, and defect status.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of experience in QA testing and automation.
• Proficient in using various QA tools and test automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with Selenium for web application testing.
• Expertise in test planning, test case design, and test case preparation.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in agile teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Roles And Responsibilities

• **Test Planning and Strategy:**
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans that align with project goals.
• Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables for projects using industry best practices.
• **Test Case Design and Preparation:**
• Design detailed, functional, and non-functional test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
• Prepare traceability matrices to ensure complete test coverage across defined requirements.
• **Automation Testing:**
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Selenium and other QA tools to ensure thorough test execution.
• Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report on automation efficiency and effectiveness.
• **QA Tools Proficiency:**
• Utilize various QA tools to manage test cases and track defects throughout the development life cycle.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to testing tools and processes to improve quality assurance practices.
• **Defect Tracking and Reporting:**
• Identify, document, and track defects found during the testing process using issue tracking tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and ensure quality standards are met before product release.
• **Cross-functional Collaboration:**
• Work closely with Development, Product Management, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to provide input from a QA perspective and ensure quality initiatives are prioritized.
• **Performance Testing:**
• Conduct performance testing as needed to ensure application scalability and stability under load.
• Analyze performance test results and make recommendations for performance enhancements.
• **Mentoring and Guidance:**
• Guide and mentor junior QA team members in best practices for QA processes and automation techniques.
• Share knowledge and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team.
• **Documentation:**
• Maintain accurate documentation of testing processes, results, and best practices for reference and training purposes.
• Contribute to the creation of knowledge base articles and test documentation to aid in future projects.
• **Quality Assurance Best Practices:**
• Stay updated on emerging QA trends, tools, and methodologies to ensure the application of best practices in testing.
• Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of software deliverables.

This position will require a detail-oriented professional with a strong focus on quality assurance and automation in software development. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of testing methodologies and tools, with a particular proficiency in Selenium for automation testing.
