Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Credit, Risk, and Policy. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit, risk, and policy functions of the company, and maintaining sound lending practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to mitigate risk and optimize lending decisions. Responsible for designing and building the risk and underwriting infrastructure.
Monitor and analyze credit trends, portfolio performance, and delinquency rates to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Work with the Technology and Product team to build out new credit acquisition and risk management capabilities and refine existing ones.
Ideate and help launch next-generation lending products and structures that will drive the next round of innovation and disruption within the unsecured lending space.
Provide thought leadership on improving customer acquisition strategies, developing statistical credit models, and communicating analytical and credit ideas - internally, Empirically test and monitor these models, by designing tests and experiments to measure and evaluate customer credit behavior.
Monitor the acquisitions funnel, model performance, and portfolio trends to develop strategic lending and business insight.
Effectively manage the credit underwriting, quality, and operations teams, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team is properly streamlined and delivers optimal results.
Establish performance metrics and targets for the credit underwriting, quality, and operations teams, and regularly evaluate performance.
Work closely with Sr. Management team and Product Team in managing Risk/Return of the portfolio, defaults & collections
Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of credit operations.
Qualifications:
* MBA/CA with 8 Plus years of experience in unsecured credit risk, and at least 5 years of experience in the Indian personal loan market.
* Deep understanding of the credit risk landscape for personal loans and vehicle loans in India.
* Proven track record of developing and implementing credit policies, risk management frameworks, and operational procedures.
* Excellent credit judgment and risk assessment as demonstrated by previous experience in developing lending customer acquisitions and/or portfolio management strategies.
* Comfort in redefining frontiers and passion for doing cutting-edge work in unsecured credit risk.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance risk and reward effectively.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
