Job Description :

Alternative Path is looking for an application developer, to assist one of its clients, which is a SAAS platform helping alternative investment firms to streamline their document collection and data extraction process using Machine Learning. You will work with individuals in various company departments to define and craft new products and features for our platform and to improve existing ones. You will have a large degree of independence and trust, but you won't be isolated, the support of the Engineering team leads, the Product team leads, and every other technology team member is behind you

You will also take part in shaping the architecture of the product, including our deployment infrastructure, to fit the growing needs of the platform. Key Responsibilities :

- Develop front and back-end-related product features for optimal user experience

- Design intuitive user interactions on web pages

- Spin up servers and databases while ensuring stability and scalability of applications

- Work alongside graphic designers to enhance web design features

- Oversee and drive projects from conception to finished product

- Design and develop APIs

- Brainstorm, execute and deliver solutions that meet both technical and consumer needs

- Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages

Desired Skills :

- 5 to 7 years of web application development experience

- Python development and architecture

- Prior work experience working on Django or Flask framework

- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue)

- Familiar with the agile development environment, continuous integration and continuous deployment

- Familiar with OOP, MVC, and commonly used design patterns

- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases

- Experience working on one or more AWS services like - AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS

- Managed Redis, AWS Elastic Search, AWS Managed Airflow, RDS, and S3 is preferred but not mandatory

- Comfortable with continuous integration, automated testing, source control, and other DevOps methodologies

- Additional knowledge of Python development and architecture will be preferred
