Years 11-12 English Teacher Position Type Teaching Commence Date 20 Jan 2026 Employment Status Permanent / Ongoing FTE/Hours per week 0.6-1.0FTE Year Levels Secondary Subject(s)/Grade Senior School English Role Details Tenison Woods College has an exciting opportunity for Years 11-12 English Teacher, working 0.6-1.0 FTE, commencing at the beginning of the 2026 School year. The Teacher will: Be qualified and/or experienced to teach Year 11 and 12 English subjects. Support an integrated approach to curriculum delivery, Apply curriculum knowledge and pedagogies to facilitate successful learning according to ACARA and the SACE framework and Secondary Schooling philosophies. Produce and submit units of work which address individual student learning needs, integrated curriculum and personalised learning specific to Secondary Schooling. Prepare and submit assessment plans according to the ACARA/SACE guidelines. Support the College with the ongoing development and maintenance of our learning management and reporting system. Be familiar with emerging technologies and have a strong interest in their incorporation into the curriculum. Provide a balanced and challenging program relevant to the needs of the students. Assess, record and report learner achievement in accordance with the Assessment and Reporting Policy of the College. Establish structures and processes to achieve a productive learning environment. A Country Establishment Allowance is available for teachers’ moving to the country to undertake employment in a Catholic Education SA Country School for the first time. Qualifications and Training: SA Teachers Registration Working with Children Check Approved Mandatory Notification training – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificates (Masterclass & Fundamental courses) Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum certificate First Aid Certificate Be willing to undertake Teacher Accreditation in Catholic Education SA training, along with any other compulsory training necessary for the role.
