Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Moodle Developer with 1 to 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Moodle's architecture and be adept at customizing and extending Moodle's functionality to meet our educational goals. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects and contribute to the development of our learning management system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Moodle Development: Hands-on experience in Moodle core and custom development, including building or customizing Moodle themes, plugins, and blocks.
• Integration: Thorough understanding of third-party tool integration with Moodle modules and administration skills. Proven experience with Moodle core API and custom API implementation and integration.
• Platform Design: Expertise in designing and building multi-tenancy, enterprise, or scalable Moodle platforms for educational technology.
• Mobile Application: Knowledge of Moodle mobile applications and their integration with the core Moodle platform.
• Security: Working knowledge of common PHP or web server security threats and solutions to ensure platform security.
• Version Control: Proficiency in using version control systems such as GIT or Bitbucket.
• Troubleshooting: Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing of Moodle updates and customizations to ensure they function correctly and meet quality standards.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for custom developments, configurations, and integrations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in Moodle core and custom development, including creating and modifying plugins, themes, and blocks.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Moodle architecture, database schema, core API, and custom API implementation.
• Integration: Experience with integrating third-party tools and understanding Moodle administration skills.
• Version Control: Experience with GIT or Bitbucket for version control.
• Open Source Technologies: Strong understanding of open-source technologies and systems/server concepts.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
