Role Overview We are seeking a versatile and proactive CMS Developer to join our web development team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing websites across three major platforms: Drupal, WordPress, and Joomla . The ideal candidate has moved beyond simple "plug-and-play" setups and possesses the skills to develop custom themes, create bespoke plugins/modules, and manage complex migrations. You should be comfortable jumping between different architectures while maintaining clean, scalable code. Key Responsibilities Full-Stack Development: Build and implement custom websites, landing pages, and web applications using Drupal (8/9/10), WordPress, and Joomla (4.x/5.x). Customization: Develop custom WordPress plugins, Drupal modules, and Joomla extensions to meet specific project requirements. Theming: Create responsive, high-performance themes from scratch or based on design files (Figma/Adobe XD), ensuring cross-browser compatibility. Maintenance & Security: Perform core and plugin/module updates, troubleshoot bugs, and implement security best practices across all platforms. API Integration: Connect CMS platforms with third-party APIs (payment gateways, CRMs, ERPs, and social media). Optimization: Improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and SEO technical structures. Migrations: Assist in migrating content and data between different CMS platforms or from legacy systems. Technical Requirements Core Languages: Proficiency in PHP (7.4/8.x) , MySQL/MariaDB, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript (ES6+). CMS Specifics: o   WordPress: Deep knowledge of Hooks, Actions, Filters, and Gutenberg block development. o   Drupal: Experience with Twig templating, Drush, Composer, and the Configuration Management System. o   Joomla: Familiarity with the MVC design pattern, template overrides, and the Joomla API. Tools: Experience with Git version control, local development environments (DDEV, Lando, or LocalWP), and CI/CD pipelines. Performance: Experience with caching layers (Varnish, Redis, or Memcached). Soft Skills & Qualifications Adaptability: Ability to switch context between different CMS architectures efficiently. Problem Solving: A "logic-first" approach to debugging complex database or plugin conflicts. Communication: Ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders or project managers. Portfolio: A proven track record of 3–4 years in professional web development, with live links to projects on at least two of the three mentioned platforms.
