Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Security Architect to join our Managed Security Operations team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and building managed security operations capabilities, as well as designing secure networks and systems with a strong focus on integrating advanced security technologies and frameworks into our existing infrastructure. This strategic role involves not only architecting robust security solutions that enhance our defensive capabilities but also actively engaging with clients to tailor these solutions to meet specific business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect comprehensive security solutions that protect the organization’s systems and data across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and security requirements.
Led the development and operationalization of Managed Security Operations, enhancing detection and response capabilities through the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as SIEM (Preferably MS SentinelOne and IBM QRadar), EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and enhancements based on emerging threats, industry trends, and business needs, while ensuring that these solutions meet client-specific requirements.
Develop security frameworks and architectures that facilitate effective threat detection, incident response, and compliance with regulatory requirements, leveraging extensive experience in managed security environments.
Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity teams, and direct clients to ensure that security architectures and practices are seamlessly integrated into all technology projects and initiatives.
Provide expert guidance on security best practices, design principles, and risk mitigation strategies to IT project teams, business stakeholders, and clients.
Conduct security assessments and system reviews to identify vulnerabilities and gaps in the current architecture and recommend enhancements tailored to client environments.
Develop technical standards, guidelines, and documentation to support the implementation and operation of security solutions, with a client-oriented approach.
Monitor technological advancements and cybersecurity trends to proactively adjust security architectures and protect against emerging threats, ensuring relevancy in diverse client environments.
Lead architectural discussions and initiatives that drive the continuous improvement of security postures within the organization and across client sites.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (10+ years) in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on security architecture and working in managed security operations environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of security architectures, protocols, and methodologies, including hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, VPNs, Firewalls, and other security technologies.
Strong understanding of network and system security infrastructure, including cloud security, endpoint security, and encryption technologies.
Demonstrate expertise in designing robust security architectures and frameworks, such as Zero Trust, tailored to enhance enterprise security at all levels.
Possess a deep understanding of network security protocols, including the ability to design effective network segmentation strategies.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex security systems and frameworks that meet rigorous security and compliance standards.
Experience in developing and leading security architecture assessments and reviews, with a focus on creating scalable and adaptable solutions for a variety of client needs.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand and address security risks in both business and client contexts.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex security architectures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SANS/GIAC, or other recognized security architecture certifications are highly desirable.
