Job Summary:
Manage end-to-end product development and merchandising process to ensure timely delivery of trend-right, commercially viable products that meet brand standards and business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sample development process: create detailed tech packs, ensure accurate fit, construction, trims, and fabric specifications.
  • Coordinate with factories to develop samples, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment with design intent and quality standards.
  • Manage factory relationships: negotiate lead times, pricing, MOQs, and ensure timely delivery of development samples and bulk production.
  • Ensure strong understanding of garment fit, fabric behavior, and construction techniques for high-quality product output.
  • Work closely with Design, Sourcing & Production for seamless product development and delivery.
  • Track product development timelines, monitor sample progress, and push for adherence to seasonal calendar deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, ethical sourcing, and sustainability standards in the supply chain.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–7 years of experience in Apparel Product Development / Merchandising.
  • Strong knowledge of garment fit, tech packs, fabric, trims, and construction.
  • Experience managing factories and sample development.
  • Good understanding of costing, sourcing, and production processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; PLM software knowledge is a plus.
