The Role:
At HCL Software we are seeking to hire a Senior Manager II for the BigFix Engineering team. We are looking for an Engineering Leader who will be introduced in a worldwide context, working with teams geographically distributed and interacting with different departments and final users, contributing to the development of software products globally distributed. This role specializes in working with and providing supervision to other managers, architects and other technical leaders and collaborate with architects and other leadership members from the global team. We are looking for a talented, self-motivated, and curious leader willing to get thoroughly involved in an inclusive and open-minded teamwork in a dynamic, global, and multicultural organization with advanced processes.
Who you are (Requirements)
Senior Manager II , you will have a track record of successful projects with demonstrated impact on their success thanks to strong technical and personal background.
least 18 years of experience in IT preferably with leading Product companies
engineering and operations background with managing multiple managers and teams
technical leader with very strong academic and industry experience
leader with the ability to lead and create, develop, coach and mentor a team of technically strong members and with the ability to give sound technical direction to the team
track record of hiring and building industry best product development teams and leading from the front, handling all the stakeholder relationships and communication
good in modern software engineering practices, quality assurance, test, configuration and release management, defect management, associated tools etc.
to get thoroughly involved in an inclusive and open-minded team in a dynamic, global, and multicultural organization with advanced processes.
Our ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work independently and juggle multiple tasks.
You must be able to identify problems before they happen, dig deep for root causes, and implement solutions that prevent future occurrences.
In our team you will be responsible for:
Programs: To lead and manage a widespread and multi-disciplined team of engineers that meets the company’s goals and objectives
a product lab and teams: Help build product lab in Pune and build teams in a new location for the existing product development team
to deliver projects with best possible quality, within budget and on agreed schedule.
strong engineering discipline: To build and mature a sustainable top-class product
& Mature engineering practices: To drive the roadmap of our products; steer technology/process/tool choices for continuously improving reliability, predictability, and usability; to keep up to date with the latest product development methodologies; establish practices to deliver products that are consistently error free, maintainable and reusable.
& Growth: Establish and nurture a learning driven growth culture for enabling own growth as well as growth for the team members as well as the product organization. Performance improvements demonstrated through various learning strategies are encouraged.

What You'll Bring:
BE/BTech from a reputed institution
18+ Years experience in development in Software Product industry
10+ years’ experience in management; 5+ years’ experience managing multiple product teams
Required Technical Skills with proven track record of successful projects and strong hands-on experience in following areas:
Design and Architecture design
native technologies
Automation and CI/CD concepts
the main cloud platforms and different software engineering architectures
with Agile development methodologies.
Domain: Endpoint software solutions domain knowledge would be nice to have
AI and ML would be nice to have
Required Soft Skills
with executive level communications and metrics
at conferences / engaging face-to-face with customers
for short term business trips
in performing problem determination & root cause analysis
analytical ability with good practice in breaking down complex problems into simple tasks to be delegated to other team members
