  4. Align purchases with project timelines and budgets.

  5. Vendor Management

  6. Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery.

  7. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.

  8. Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and resolve supply issues.

  9. Cost Management & Negotiation

  10. Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure cost efficiency.

  11. Ensure procurement aligns with budget constraints and cost-saving goals.

  12. Order Management

  13. Raise purchase orders and track their status.

  14. Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed.

  15. Coordinate logistics and ensure materials reach project sites on time.

  16. Compliance & Documentation

  17. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and statutory regulations (especially important in solar, with subsidies or import norms).

  18. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery schedules.

  19. Cross-Functional Coordination

  20. Work closely with project management, engineering, stores, and finance teams to understand material requirements and ensure smooth operations.

  21. Support audits and provide data when required.

  22. Market Analysis & Risk Management

  23. Keep up to date with market trends, especially in solar technology and raw material pricing (e.g., silicon, lithium).

  24. Identify risks related to price volatility, import/export duties, or geopolitical constraints and report them.
