Job Summary: As the IQAC Officer, you will spearhead and orchestrate the activities of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, aligning with the directives from regulatory bodies and accrediting agencies. Your role encompasses monitoring and safeguarding the quality of academic and administrative procedures, alongside compiling accurate data from various university departments for accreditation purposes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate IQAC Activities:
  • Develop and execute an annual plan for IQAC initiatives in consultation with the committee.
  • Facilitate IQAC committee meetings to address quality-related concerns and devise enhancement strategies.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain meticulous documentation on quality assurance, including meeting minutes and reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of requisite reports to accrediting bodies and regulatory authorities.
  • Quality Assurance Policies:
  • Aid in crafting, revising, and maintaining quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Disseminate quality policies and procedures to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Benchmarking and Best Practices:
  • Conduct benchmarking exercises to identify top-tier quality assurance practices in higher education.
  • Propose and implement best practices for elevating academic and administrative processes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze pertinent data to gauge the efficacy of quality assurance measures.
  • Prepare and furnish periodic reports on quality assurance endeavors to senior management.
  • Training and Capacity Building:
  • Arrange workshops, seminars, and training sessions to bolster comprehension of quality assurance principles.
  • Facilitate capacity-building efforts to fortify the competencies of academic and administrative units.
  • Internal and External Audits:
  • Coordinate internal and external audits concerning quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to rectify findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify avenues for continuous enhancement in quality assurance protocols.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective and preemptive measures.
  • Accreditation Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to accreditation requisites and standards.
  • Assist in compiling accreditation documents and responding to accrediting bodies.
  • Advisory Role:
  • Offer expert counsel on quality assurance matters to various university departments and units.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in a pertinent field (e.g., Education, Management, Quality Assurance).
  • Minimum 10 years of prior experience in a comparable role within a higher education institution.
  • Profound grasp of quality assurance principles and accreditation procedures.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational proficiencies.
  • Aptitude for collaborative work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report composition.
