Roles andResponsibilities
  • Develop weldingtechniques and procedures.
  • Collaborate withdesign and manufacturing teams to implement weldingimprovements.
  • Oversee and ensure compliancewith welding codes and standards.
  • Conductwelding tests and inspections to maintain qualitycontrol.
  • Provide technical support for weldingoperations.
  • Optimize welding processes forimproved efficiency.
  • Participate in projectmanagement related to weldingactivities.
  • Analyze and solve weldingrelatedissues.
  • Conduct research on new materials andwelding technologies.
  • Interpret technicaldrawings and specifications for weldingpurposes.
  • Train and mentor weldingpersonnel.
  • Coordinate with external vendors forweldingrelated supplies and services.
  • Maintainaccurate documentation of welding activities andprocedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safetyregulations and protocols.
  • Contribute tocontinuous improvement initiatives in weldingprocesses.
Requiredqualifications
  • Bachelors degree inWelding Engineering Materials Science Mechanical Engineering orrelated field.
  • Proven experience in welding andfabrication processes.
  • Professionalcertification in welding (e.g. Certified WeldingEngineer).
  • Proficiency in interpretingtechnical drawings and specifications.
  • Strongknowledge of welding codes standards andregulations.
  • Experience in quality control andinspection techniques for weldedproducts.
  • Project management skills with theability to manage multiple weldingprojects.
  • Excellent problemsolving andanalytical abilities.
  • Understanding ofmetallurgy and material science.
  • Proficiency inwelding software and technologies.
  • Effectivecommunication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability tomentor and train welding personnel.
  • Attentionto detail and a commitment to safety andquality.
  • Knowledge of welding automation androbotics is a plus.
  • Experience in implementinglean manufacturing principles in weldingprocesses.
