Roles and Responsibilities

Mindstix is looking for a dynamic and experienced PHP Developer who is passionate about their work and committed to delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience and extensive knowledge of PHP and related frameworks and a proven track record of managing complex projects. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of modern software development.

  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using PHP and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain web applications by collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design software solutions.
  • Actively participate in the code review process to ensure that all development work adheres to standards and best practices.
  • Integrate databases (like MySQL, PostgreSQL) with PHP applications, handling data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize PHP applications to enhance performance and ensure functionality.
  • Participate in requirements analysis and provide input on technical feasibility and best practices.
  • Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Ensure the security and scalability of applications through best practices and efficient coding.
  • Unit test all code before it is released to ensure it meets quality standards and functions as intended.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in PHP and trends in web development.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and enhancement of existing PHP platform, ensuring code quality and optimizing performance.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1 to 4 years of hands-on relevant work experience in PHP development.
  • Strong understanding of PHP, including its core features and best practices.
  • Experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
  • Proficient in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, and CSS. Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with database design and optimization.
  • Experience in integrating third-party APIs and web services.
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with any Cloud Platform like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
