Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive BG & Bond Management Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of Bank Guarantees and Security Bonds. The ideal candidate will have a solid financial background and experience in working with banks, surety providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely processing of all bond-related instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bank Guarantee & Bond Management

  • Manage issuance, renewal, and cancellation of Bank Guarantees (BGs) and Security Bonds (performance, advance payment, bid bonds, etc.).
  • Coordinate with banks and surety companies for timely processing and documentation.
  • Track expiry dates and initiate renewal processes proactively to maintain uninterrupted coverage.

2. Record Keeping & Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records for all BGs and bonds.
  • Ensure accuracy in recording terms, amounts, and contract linkages to prevent compliance breaches.

3. Compliance & Risk Monitoring

  • Verify that all guarantees and bonds align with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor usage and exposure; highlight potential risks to the finance team.
  • Support internal and external audits concerning the bond portfolio.

4. Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison with banks, sureties, and internal departments (e.g., Legal, Contracts, Operations).
  • Resolve queries or issues related to bond instruments promptly and professionally.

5. Financial Support & Reporting

  • Manage financial transactions related to bonds, including processing bank charges.
  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting for bond-related costs and commitments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

  • Experience:
  • Prior experience managing financial instruments such as BGs and bonds.
  • Familiarity with banking operations and financial documentation.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Experience with financial or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an advantage.
