The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role involves coordinating procurement, production, transportation, and distribution, ensuring the timely delivery of goods while optimizing costs. The Supply Chain Manager will play a key role in fostering supplier relationships, improving processes, and driving supply chain excellence.


Responsibilities

Develop and implement supply chain strategies:  Design and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies that align with business objectives and ensure the timely delivery of products.

Inventory management:  Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding shortages or overstocking. Manage inventory forecasting and replenishment processes.

Supplier management:  Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials. Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any discrepancies.

Logistics management:  Coordinate transportation and logistics processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. Oversee warehouse management and distribution activities.

Cost management:  Analyze supply chain costs and identify areas for cost savings and process improvement. Ensure budget adherence and report on cost performance.

Demand planning and forecasting:  Collaborate with sales and production teams to forecast demand and adjust supply chain operations accordingly.

Risk management:  Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Address issues such as delays, disruptions, or quality control problems.

Technology and process optimization:  Implement supply chain management software and tools to improve processes. Continuously seek opportunities to automate and streamline operations.

Compliance and safety:  Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding the transportation and storage of goods. Promote workplace safety and adherence to policies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, production, transportation, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry trends.
