Job Title: JIRA Developer - Plugin Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced JIRA Developer with a strong background in plugin development to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing custom plugins for JIRA, including Atlassian SDK, JIRA API, and plugin development frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom plugins to enhance JIRA functionality and improve user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom plugins for JIRA using Atlassian SDK, JIRA API, and plugin development frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain plugins for JIRA, including custom components, gadgets, and web items.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop plugins that meet those needs.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of plugins to ensure high-quality and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest JIRA features, releases, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including plugin development guides, API documentation, and technical notes.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of plugins in production environments.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in developing custom plugins for JIRA, including Atlassian SDK, JIRA API, and plugin development frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Java, including Java 8 and later versions.
  • Experience with JIRA API, including REST API, SOAP API, and Java API.
  • Familiarity with plugin development frameworks, including Atlassian SDK, JIRA Plugin Framework, and JIRA REST API.
  • Strong understanding of JIRA architecture, including JIRA components, JIRA modules, and JIRA plugins.
  • Experience with version control systems, including Git and SVN.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, including Azure and AWS.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, including Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts, including neural networks and deep learning.
  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices and threat modeling.
