Quality Engineer (Manual + Automated Testing) Location: New Jersey, USA (Remote OK) About Cleopatra Cleopatra is a fast-growing on-demand cleaning platform built for speed, trust, and great design. Clients book in seconds, cleaners get paid fast, and every home sparkles — powered by smart automation and solid engineering. We’re building a local-first marketplace in New Jersey and scaling fast. The Role We’re looking for a Quality Engineer who’s detail-obsessed and proactive. You’ll test new features across mobile and web apps, find what breaks before users do, and help automate testing so our releases stay clean and fast. You’ll work directly with the founder and engineering team to make sure every build meets Cleopatra’s quality bar. What You’ll Do Test new features and core flows across mobile and web apps Build and maintain automated tests for key functions and APIs Log bugs clearly with steps, screenshots, and device info Re-test fixes and confirm stability before deployment Work closely with engineers to reproduce and resolve issues Help improve testing pipelines and QA documentation What You Bring 2+ years of QA, QC, or software testing experience Experience with mobile and web testing tools Understanding of manual, regression, and API testing Strong attention to detail and structured thinking Clear communication and documentation habits Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment Bonus Points Experience writing automated test scripts in Python or JavaScript Familiarity with CI/CD tools or GitHub Actions Background testing Supabase, Firebase, or AWS-based apps Why Join Us You’ll join a small, driven team shipping real product every week.
