We at Ads Product are all about making Ads more meaningful & relevant to our users and help drive marketing objectives for our partners/advertisers. Ads is one of the ways Truecaller monetizes the APP, and thus holds a critical role in driving Truecaller revenues. Truecaller is one of the largest standalone publishers in India and emerging markets like Egypt, North Africa etc.

Mission - The Ads team is responsible for monetizing Truecaller inventory through ads by offering targeted advertising solutions to our demand partners.

Responsible for - Driving revenue growth for Truecaller by building ads solutions and selling our ads offerings to our advertiser partners in India and outside.

We work at a planetary scale, serving billions of ad impressions daily. Our APIs handle a massive load, with some reaching 300K requests per second. This is serious performance engineering

The Truecaller app is on over 400 million devices globally, and our code needs to run flawlessly on all of them. We leverage the latest tech like Jetpack Compose and Kotlin to ensure efficiency and maintainability.

As an Associate Product Manager for Ads Inventory Products, you will play a critical role in shaping how we create, optimise, and scale our advertising inventory. You will support the development of products that maximise revenue, deliver high-quality ad experiences for users, and enable advertisers to reach their audiences effectively.

This role is highly cross-functional; you will collaborate with senior product managers, engineers, data analysts/scientists, sales, and operations teams to ensure our inventory is utilised efficiently and grows sustainably. You will be detail-oriented, analytical, and excited about solving complex challenges in the adtech ecosystem.

What you bring in:

  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, business analysis or a closely related field (adtech, programmatic advertising).
  • Understanding of digital advertising ecosystems (supply-side platforms, mediation, programmatic bidding, ad formats, etc.) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset – able to analyse trends, interpret data, and draw actionable insights.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Looker Studio).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field is preferred.

The impact you will create:

  • Support backlog ownership and sprint planning: Help maintain, groom, and prioritise product requirements for ad inventory features and tools.
  • Analyse performance: Track and interpret key inventory and ad lifecycle metrics to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Enable smarter delivery: Contribute to experiments and A/B tests that balance monetisation goals with user experience.
  • Partner with stakeholders: Work closely with sales, operations, and adops teams to understand advertiser needs and supply constraints.
  • Drive execution: Support engineering teams with clear requirements, answering questions, and ensuring smooth sprint planning and delivery.
  • Contribute to release planning: Define the scope for smaller feature releases and coordinate with QA and engineering on deployment.
  • Market & trend analysis: Stay on top of industry trends (e.g., programmatic advertising, new ad formats, etc.) to inform product direction.
  • Support reporting & insights: Build dashboards and reports with analytics teams to track inventory health and business KPIs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Develop strong working relationships with sales, ad-ops, analytics, and other product pods and business units to align on business goals.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus for querying and working with data.
