Job Overview

Principal Back-end Engineer

We're looking for a Tech Leader who enjoys leading a team technically, loves to challenge the status quo, does not hesitate from taking initiatives, and loves to help the team through new challenges and technologies. As a leader of engineers, you will solve complex technology problems in a fast-paced agile environment, constantly learning and adapting to rapidly evolving customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with Engineering and Product leaders in building the next generation Post Purchase Experience Systems - that directly impacts L0 metrics like CPMU, Post purchase Customer NPS, Perfect returns, etc.- Build the next gen Fraud detection and Labor Force management platforms that can scale across multiple markets. Work closely with the Data science team on building capabilities in Fraud detection, Chat-bots and Andon systems which directly impacts Customer experience and Company’s bottom-line metrics.- Hire and Develop the Best: Lead a talented and diverse team of software development engineers.- Inspire engineers in the team with your tech focus, engineering excellence, and technical vision- Be both a highly technical, hands-on coder and architect- Execute against project plans and delivery commitment.

Qualifications:

- 15+ years of experience of large-scale distributed systems or data processing systems.- Product focused engineering experiences, a strong partner to product management teams.- Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results.- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information- Ability to work in multi-cultural, cross functional team- Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent

Preferred:

- Experience with marketplace or eCommerce system- Experience working in startups- Understanding of performance tradeoffs, load balancing and operational issues
