Job Description Payroll Assistant – 3 Month Contract Immediate start | Perth | Full-time | Temp role We’re working with a large, purpose-driven WA organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their Finance team on a 3-month temporary contract . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys high-volume payroll work and wants to contribute to an organisation focused on community impact and supporting meaningful employment opportunities. About the Role Reporting to the Financial Controller and supporting the Payroll Lead, you’ll assist in processing a fortnightly payroll for 800+ employees . This contract would suit someone confident with end-to-end payroll processing who can step in quickly and manage a fast-paced workload. Key Responsibilities Assist with the full fortnightly payroll cycle in Definitiv Process employee changes, new starters, pay variations, terminations, and adjustments Manage high-volume data including overtime, back pay calculations and movement of hours Maintain accurate and compliant payroll records Provide timely support and guidance to internal stakeholders across the organisation Uphold organisational values relating to safety, integrity, and quality service Support the Payroll Lead with day-to-day payroll operations The Applicant Essential Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience Strong communication and relationship-building skills Good data entry accuracy and confidence using Excel Desirable Ability to interpret awards and agreements High attention to detail Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines Team-focused approach and willingness to support where needed Why Apply?
