Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to facilitate and optimize the due diligence (DD) process for startups raising funds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in startup fundraising, along with expertise in financial, legal, and tax documentation. In addition, the role involves leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and scalability of the DD process.
Key Responsibilities:
Due Diligence Facilitation:
Manage the end-to-end due diligence process for startups, covering financial, tax, and legal assessments.
Identify and mitigate risks related to compliance and documentation.
Document Review and Analysis:
Review, interpret, and assess critical documents, including incorporation papers, term sheets, financial statements, tax records, shareholder agreements, and other legal/financial documentation.
Accounting and Tax Compliance:
Apply expertise in accounting principles, direct taxes (DT), indirect taxes (IDT), and financial regulations to ensure thorough compliance.
AI-Driven Process Integration:
Collaborate with internal teams to implement and refine AI-driven tools and technological solutions for improving the due diligence process.
Focus on creating scalable and efficient DD workflows.
Required Skills & Experience:
Startup Fundraising Expertise:
Proven experience assisting at least two startups through their fundraising journeys, with a particular focus on due diligence and financial structuring.
Legal and Financial Acumen:
Strong understanding of startup-related documentation, including incorporation documents, shareholder agreements, term sheets, and financial statements.
Accounting Knowledge:
Solid grasp of accounting principles, direct taxes (DT), indirect taxes (IDT), and the related regulatory frameworks.
AI & Process Optimization:
Willingness to explore and implement AI-driven solutions for improving due diligence processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
Certification in Chartered Accountancy (CA), CPA, or equivalent is a plus.
Familiarity with startup ecosystems and venture capital processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
