Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Z-scaler and Palo Alto URL Filtering Proxy and Firewall Specialist to join our Network Security team. The specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network security, focusing on URL filtering, Proxy and firewall rule configuration, and threat prevention using NGFW Networks technology. This role demands a deep understanding of network security protocols, hands-on experience with Z-Scaler and Palo Alto firewalls, and the ability to manage and troubleshoot complex security configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and Manage URL Filtering :
  • Implement and maintain URL filtering policies to control internet access and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Create and manage custom URL filtering profiles and categories.
  • Monitor and update URL filtering databases to protect against emerging threats.
  • Firewall Management :
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls to ensure optimal network security.
  • Develop and enforce firewall rules, policies, and profiles to protect network resources.
  • Monitor firewall logs and reports to identify and respond to security incidents.
  • Threat Prevention and Mitigation :
  • Global Protect Operations
  • Implement advanced threat prevention features including malware, spyware, and intrusion prevention.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks.
  • Develop and execute strategies to mitigate identified security threats.
  • Network Security Administration :
  • Manage and maintain network security infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
  • Provide support and training to IT staff on firewall and URL filtering best practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting :
  • Document configuration changes, security incidents, and policy updates.
  • Generate and analyze security reports to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all security measures comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
