Job Summary :

We are looking for a seasoned Ab Initio Developer with strong expertise in the Ab Initio suite and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in working with GDE components, metadata management, and advanced data processing. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level data integration solutions. Proficiency in Unix or shell scripting and working in Agile/Scrum environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and Development : Leverage your expertise in Ab Initio GDE components to develop and manage complex data integration workflows and processes.

- Plan and Implement : Use Ab Initio Plans, Express>It, and Query>It to design, test, and implement efficient data solutions in line with business requirements.

- Metadata Management : Work with the Ab Initio Metadata Hub to ensure proper metadata handling, data lineage tracking, and governance across the ETL processes.

- Unix Shell Scripting : Develop and maintain complex Unix or shell scripts to automate data processing and ensure seamless data flow.

- Advanced Ab Initio Concepts : Apply advanced features like PDL (Parameterized Development Language) and Meta Programming to enhance ETL processes, improving flexibility and scalability.

- Big Data Tools : Work with HDFS and Hive to integrate, store, and retrieve data from distributed data platforms.

- Business Rules Engine (BRE) : Implement and optimize business logic using Express>It for enhanced data transformation and decision-making capabilities.

- Agile Development : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong experience in Ab Initio GDE and working knowledge of Ab Initio Plans, Express>It, Query>It, and Metadata Hub.

- Proficient in Unix shell scripting and strong knowledge of Unix operating systems.

- Hands-on experience with advanced Ab Initio concepts like PDL and Meta Programming.

- Working experience with HDFS and Hive in Big Data environments.

- Preferred experience with Express>It Business Rules Engine (BRE) and Query>It for data query operations.

- Knowledge in Data Warehousing concepts and best practices.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across teams and document technical solutions.

- Ability to handle changing requirements and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience working with Ab Initio technologies in enterprise environments.

- Experience in industries like Finance, Telecommunications, or Retail is a plus.
