As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for delivering critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
7+ years hands-on software development experience in an Object-Oriented programming language (such as Java, C++, Python) and SQL.
Self-motivated with passion for technology.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
In-depth knowledge of software applications and technical processes with practical knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile,
Experience in developing highly scalable micro services-based applications.
In-depth knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas as well as good understanding of the rest.
High throughput, low latency micro service development leveraging AWS services such EKS, ECS, Fargate, ELB, etc., High throughput near real time stream processing with services such Kinesis, Flink, ECS, EKS, etc & High volume feature engineering with services such EMR.
Experience leveraging trained model artifacts in newer model architectures and approaches such as neural networks, embeddings, multi arm bandits, etc.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies and knowledge of SDLC including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, .
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with recommendation and personalization systems is a plus.
Proficiency with relational DBs, SQL, RDS.
Experience with development and build tools (or similar): IntelliJ /Eclipse, Maven, Gradle, Sprint Boot, MVC, Spring, Cloud.
Experience in working with high through put and scalable messaging technologies like Kafka, Kinesis.
