Your Career
Palo Alto Networks SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished QA/Automation engineer with experience in validating core networking & security features in the SD-WAN team. You will be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various ground-breaking technologies in the SD-WAN area. You will work with a multi- functional team of engineers solving interesting problems.
Your Impact :
- Manage, lead, mentor, and coach one or more engineering teams.
- Be accountable for the engineering quality of the subject matter areas your teams are responsible for.
- Work closely with QA, Dev, DevOps, PM and cross functional managers to refine business requirements in alignment with good testing & automation principles.
- Work closely with team leads and architects to create good test strategy/planning that meet business requirements and align with best practices.
- Ability to translate technology into business value
- Working in conjunction with management and colleagues, define, document, and demonstrate good software quality & automation engineering practices.
- Stay up-to-date on new technology changes and features to provide recommendations for process improvements and feature adoption
- Facilitate project delivery from your teams, working in conjunction with product managers, development managers, analysts, business partners, and system administrators.
- Plan, drive, and execute business-critical custom apps and microservices Roadmap
- Facilitate production support affecting the system areas your teams are responsible for.
- Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans.
Your Experience
- BE/B.tech technical degree or relevant tech qualification
- 12 to 16 years experience in software testing and automation
- Minimum 2+ years of Team management experience
- Strong experience in Python programming and Large Scale Distributed systems with service oriented architecture on Cloud Platform
- Experience with scale & performance characterization of UI, Cloud Infra and Services
- Strong experience in distributed computing architecture,systems engineering,SQL and/or NoSQL databases, messaging service
- Experience in testing containerized applications in distributed environments such as kubernetes
- Experience with Automation frameworks & Programming using Python and RestAPI’s
- Experience in control plane and data plane architecture in networking devices
- Experience in testing and automation of data analytics workloads, dashboards and reports
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineers to deliver working software on time and with high quality & coverage
- Experience in SD-WAN product is a plus
- Good Knowledge in Linux platform testing on x86 platform architecture, Components and tools
- Demonstrated understanding of good software testing and automation engineering practices
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Strong architectural skills on the platform(s) your teams work on is a strong advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience is required
