About this Role
We are seeking a Data Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team at VOIS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL, along with strong ETL skills using tools like Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and software systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance and reliability.
What you will do
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and software systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements.
Implement ETL processes using tools such as Ab Initio or ODI.
Work with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL.
Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and system issues.
Who you are
4-7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
Proficient in GCP services: BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or ODI.
Strong knowledge of Unix and SQL/Teradata.
Exposure to Python is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communicator and team collaborator.
