In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for fostering a high-performing team culture, driving technical excellence, and overseeing the delivery of complex,scalable, and high-quality web applications and services. You will empower and guide a diverseteam comprising Full Stack Java Engineers, ensuring alignment with product goals andarchitectural vision.This position requires a blend of strong technical acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and apassion for developing engineers and delivering innovative solutions.Experience:10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including at least 3+ years in atechnical leadership or engineering management role.Location:Can be located in any of the following cities: Hyderabad/Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore/Chennai. Hybridwork modelQualification:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technicalfield, or equivalent practical experience.Key Responsibilities:• Software Architecture & Mentorship.• Team Leadership & Development:• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers (Frontend, Backend, and Quality)to foster their professional growth, career development, and technical capabilities.• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructivefeedback to team members.• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-trust team environment that encouragesinnovation, ownership, and continuous learning.• Participate in the recruitment and hiring process to attract top engineering talent.• Technical & Architectural Guidance:• Provide technical guidance and oversight, ensuring sound architectural decisions androbust, scalable designs for both frontend (ReactJS, Node.js) and backend (Java,Node.js, distributed systems) components.• Work closely with Staff Engineers to define technical roadmaps, drive best practices,and resolve complex technical challenges.• Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality metrics, and security best practicesacross all team deliverables.• Maintain a strong understanding of the team's technical stack, including ReactJS,Node.js, Java/Spring Boot, various databases (relational and NoSQL), cloud platforms(AWS, Azure, GCP), and CI/CD pipelines.• Project Delivery & Execution:• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of features and projects, from planning and estimationto execution, testing, and deployment.• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and other cross-functionalstakeholders to translate product requirements into actionable engineering plans.• Ensure efficient execution of Agile/Scrum processes, managing project risks anddependencies effectively.• Champion a strong quality mindset within the team, working closely with the SeniorQuality Engineer to establish robust testing strategies and automation.• Strategic Planning & Vision:• Contribute to the broader engineering strategy and technical vision for the organization.• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in webdevelopment, distributed systems, and quality assurance.• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and innovation within theteam's operations.• Communication & Collaboration:• Serve as a key liaison between the engineering team and other departments, effectivelycommunicating progress, challenges, and technical insights.• Drive cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing to ensure alignment and leverageexpertise across the organization.Requirements:• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including at least3+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.• Technical Acumen: Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in modern webdevelopment technologies, including:• Frontend: Deep understanding of ReactJS, modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript,and related state management libraries.• Backend: Expertise in building scalable distributed systems using Java/J2EE (SpringBoot preferred) and/or Node.js.• Databases: Experience with relational (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g.,MongoDB, Cassandra).• APIs: Proficiency with RESTful and/or GraphQL API design and consumption.• Quality Assurance Mindset: A strong understanding of software quality principles, testautomation strategies (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress), and CI/CD pipelines, with acommitment to delivering high-quality software.• System Design: Experience in designing and architecting highly scalable, performant, andresilient web applications and services.• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerizationtechnologies (Docker, Kubernetes).• Agile Methodologies: Demonstrated experience leading teams in an Agile/Scrumenvironment.• Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and grow engineeringteams. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).• Problem Solving: Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities incomplex technical and organizational contexts.Preferred• Experience in a high-growth or startup environment.• Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures.• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for large-scale web applications.• Understanding of AI systems and tools, and experience with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHubCopilot) in an engineering context.• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal technicalachievements.
