Job Description

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Developer with expertise in AWS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server development and cloud services, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and ensuring their integration with AWS cloud infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:

SQL Development:

Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, tables, stored procedures, functions, and views.Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.Implement and manage SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.Ensure data integrity and security through proper database design and implementation of best practices.

AWS Integration:

Design and implement database solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as RDS, Redshift, S3, and EC2.Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and other relevant services.Implement data migration strategies to AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and data accuracy.Monitor and manage AWS resources to ensure cost-efficiency and performance.

Collaboration and Support:

Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to design and implement database solutions.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.Assist in the development of data models and architecture for new projects.Conduct regular database performance tuning and maintenance activities.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, implementations, and processes.Generate reports and analytics as required by the business.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in MS SQL Server development and administration.Proven experience with AWS cloud services, including RDS, Redshift, S3, EC2, Lambda, and Glue.Experience with database migration to AWS and cloud-native database solutions.Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Skills:

Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server performance tuning.Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and security best practices.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications:

AWS Certified Database - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) preferred.Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (optional but beneficial).
