What you’ll do at Insight:Build and maintain data pipelines to enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making through customer enterprise business analyticsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand their strategic objectives and identify opportunities to leverage data and data qualityDesign, develop and maintain large-scale data solutions on Microsoft Data platformImplement ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, DBT and various SQL engines including Spark SQL, Databricks SQL and Snowflake SQL.Develop and deploy data models and data warehousing solutions using leading Data warehouse engines including Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake.Optimize performing, robust, and resilient data storage solutions using Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake and other related servicesDevelop and implement data security policies to ensure compliance with industry standardsProvide support for data-related issues, and mentor junior data engineers in the teamDefine and manage data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standardsCollaborate with data architects, data scientists, developers, and business stakeholders to design data solutions that meet business requirementsCoordinates with users to understand data needs and delivery of data with a focus on data quality, data reuse, consistency, security, and regulatory compliance.Conceptualize and visualize data frameworks.

What you’ll need to join InsightBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field1+ years of experience in data engineering with 1+ years hands on experience using Spark SQL to model and transform data.1+ years of experience working with DBT and a good understanding of DBT concepts.1+ years of experience building Power BI models and visualizations with solid understanding of DAX and Power BI visualization techniques.Extensive experience working with large data sets with hands-on technology skills to design and build robust data architectures.Extensive experience in data modeling and database designFamiliarity with common data modeling concepts and terminology such as Inmon, Kimball, snowflake, star, dimensions, facts, data lakes, data warehouses, data vault.Ability to effectively communicate in English through presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.

Other desirable skills and experience:Experience using Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures.Infrastructure as code skills and experience using Terraform and or BicepPython application development skillsPyspark and or Scala development skillsAzure Data Platform experience and skills such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Server.Experience working within an Agile development team with an understanding of Agile principles and concepts.Ability to contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to Architecture or new technologies and mentoring junior employees and being ready to shoulder ad-hoc.Experience with cross-team collaboration, interpersonal skills/relationship building
