Job Summary :

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Food Technologist to join our product development team in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will be involved in preparing and testing recipes, working on new product launches, and ensuring the highest standards in taste and quality. The Chef will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create products that meet consumer demands and align with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development of new food products and recipes for the FMCG market, focusing on taste, quality, and cost-effectiveness.- Conduct recipe trials, taste tests, and evaluate ingredient quality.- Work with the R&D and marketing teams to innovate and refine food products, ensuring they meet consumer preferences.- Ensure that food products are prepared in compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.- Stay updated on current food trends and consumer demands to introduce innovative product ideas.- Operate baking equipment and maintain proper kitchen sanitation protocols.- Monitor baking processes, including dough proofing, baking temperatures, and cooking times for optimal results.- Collaborate with the product development team to create innovative, market-ready baked products that align with the brand's objectives.- Maintain kitchen equipment and ingredients, ensuring all areas comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

- 4 to 8 years of experience as a chef or in a culinary role, preferably in the FMCG or food production industry.- CTC will be industry standards, based on experience and expertise.- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or a related field is preferred.- Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient functionality, and the science behind baking.- Ability to troubleshoot baking issues and adjust recipes accordingly.- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations.- Creative and innovative mindset, with an understanding of food trends and consumer preferences.- Basic understanding of product costing and optimization in the FMCG context.- Knowledge of health-focused baking (gluten-free, vegan, etc.) and trending baked products.
