The ideal candidate will combine strong content writing skills with strategic social media expertise to create engaging, SEO-optimized, and brand-consistent content. This role requires someone who can research, plan, and execute campaigns while adapting tone and style for diverse platforms and audiences.Key Responsibilities:Research industry-related topics through online sources, interviews, and studies to create accurate and engaging content.Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content for websites, blogs, social media platforms, email campaigns, product descriptions, and marketing materials.Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, brand visibility, and lead generation.Plan, create, and manage content calendars for website and social media to ensure timely and consistent publishing.Optimize content for SEO using keyword research, metadata, and best practices to drive web traffic and improve rankings.Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure cohesive messaging across platforms.Monitor and analyze website and social media performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and platform insights to refine strategies.Stay updated on digital trends, audience preferences, and industry best practices to enhance content strategy.Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, voice, and legal/ethical standards (copyright, plagiarism, compliance).Required Knowledge:Strong understanding of digital content writing and content marketing principles.Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, and optimization techniques.Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.Understanding of social media algorithms, engagement strategies, and digital marketing trends.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling.Proficient in editing, proofreading, and adapting content for clarity and tone.Skilled in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ubersuggest), analytics (Google Analytics), and content tools (Grammarly, Hemingway, ).Ability to create multi-format content (blogs, articles, website copy, social posts, campaigns, emailers).Familiarity with design tools like Canva (basic graphic design skills are a plus).Abilities:Adaptable writing style suitable for different audiences and platforms.Strong research skills to simplify technical concepts into user-friendly content.Capable of managing multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.Creative thinker with excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities.Behaviours:Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality, original content.Proactive, innovative, and able to take initiative in planning and execution.Open to feedback and collaborative in approach.Maintains consistency in brand messaging and integrity across platforms.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature, Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field .Master’s Degree in the above disciplines (optional)Additional certifications in:Content WritingSEO or Digital MarketingCreative WritingCopywritingTechnical Writing (optional but advantageous)
