You must be a self-organized individual should be flexible and willing to switch tasks based on business needs.If this sounds exciting, we want to chat and tell you more about our work culture and environment and see if this will be a good fit for both of us.This position will be based in Bangalore, India.Essential FunctionsDesign, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable codebases for our AI/ML platforms and applications.Lead the Platform Engineering teams to ensure high reliability and availability of the services.Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and other stakeholders for robust, scalable, and optimized AI/ML solutions.Establish, advocate, and enforce best practices in security, infrastructure management, and service reliability..Drive incident management process and support a blameless post-mortems culture.Drive technical standards and best practices, and continuously improve AI Platform’s engineered capabilities.Help to coordinate the technical implementation among different teams, platform instances and deployments and ensure system performance, security, scalability, and availability.Coaching and mentoring junior team members with design, code and implementationThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office on designated days of a week with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.Preferred Qualifications• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD• 14 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree.• Strong development experience in one or more of Golang, Java, Scala, Python, Rust and C/C++• Experience in big data and other database systems such as MySQL, Redis, Elastic etc.• Sound knowledge of Real Time Event Driven systems based on technologies like Flink, Kafka, Spark Streaming or similar.• Well versed with development tools such as Git, Maven, SBT, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Checkmarx etc. and experience in driving overall development / R&D experience of the engineering teams• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment models and best practices such as IaC• Strong experience in bare-metal, Kubernetes/docker, public Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) based deployments• Strong experience in platform and application observability design and implementation• Proven experience in managing large-scale systems, including aspects like security, reliability, availability and self healing• Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity, educate and influence stakeholders• Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills both written and verbal• Experience in payments domain and prior experience in large scale ML/AI Model Engineering is a definite plus.
