Job Description :


Key Responsibilities :

Design and Development :

- Architect, design, and develop scalable and high-performance data platforms.

- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, and Flink.

- Develop real-time data processing and stream processing applications.

Data Management :

- Manage and optimize databases including MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across various data sources.

- Implement data governance and compliance measures.

Performance Optimization :

- Monitor and tune the performance of data platforms and pipelines.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues and bottlenecks.

- Implement best practices for data storage, processing, and retrieval.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure continuous integration and deployment of data applications.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Innovation and Improvement :

- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in big data and data engineering.

- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance data platforms and services.

- Continuously improve data infrastructure and processes for scalability and efficiency.

Required Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience : 6 to 9 years of experience in big data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in big data technologies such as Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink, and related tools.

- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, and PHP.

- Experience with data pipeline tools and frameworks.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Leadership and mentorship abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.

- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Certification in relevant big data technologies or cloud platforms
