Job Description :

- Provide strong technical leadership, push the technical bar for scalability and quality, and maintain data and results-driven culture.

- Drive long-term architecture and development for highly scalable services with quality, performance, and maintainability as core tenets.

- Drive Collaboration across teams to deliver high-quality solutions from concept to release and live operations.

- Mentor the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management.

- Be responsible for the group's technical strategy and roadmap - creating success metrics in close collaboration with other groups across the organization, and executing initiatives in an agile way.

- Initiate cross-functional (Product, Business, Operations) collaborations with development teams throughout Lokal and gather feedback and requirements.

- Ability to attract and hire top-notch Engineering talent for the organization.

Requirements :

- Total 8+ years' experience developing and shipping software products with 5+ years of experience in very large-scale applications and 2+ years' experience in people management.

- Hands-on manager with proficiency in various engineering tools, software, and methodologies, and be able to apply them to solve real-world problems.

- Strong problem-solving skills, data structures, and algorithms.

- Experience with distributed systems handling large amounts of data.

- Excellent coding skills in one of the languages Python/Java.

- Experienced in building distributed cloud systems (AWS, GCP, CI/CD, Kubernetes), RESTful API development, and optimization (HTTP life cycle management).

- Very good understanding of Web Technologies, Databases and Data pipelines.

Good to have :

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Have worked at a product company.

- Have a working knowledge of backend and frontend programming languages.

- Excellent technical design, problem-solving, and debugging skills, proven track record in shipping software on time, and with high quality.

- Proven track record in leading development teams and the ability to grow talented SDEs.

- Great team player and communicator, a strong believer in collaboration and teamwork.

- Experience and success in working with ambiguity and taking risks.
