JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, he/ she will:Responsible for Design and development of Mechanical systems and components for medical equipment meeting industry standards and regulationsResponsible for Product sustenance activities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Design and development of Mechanical systems and components for medical equipment meeting industry standards and regulationsCreate/Review detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD Software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)Perform engineering calculations and simulations to optimize mechanical designs and record the data in Detailed design documentsConduct feasibility studies with quick prototyping and evaluate new design concepts based on performance, cost and manufacturabilityWork closely with vendors for material sourcing and component manufacturing including travel to vendor placesPrototype, assemble and test mechanical systems to validate design functionality and performanceParticipate in design reviews and provide technical guidance and feedback to team membersSupport the product sustenance activities by resolving mechanical issuesStay up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in mechanical engineeringOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Colloborate with global cross functional teamsMINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related fieldExperience3~10 years of experience in the design and development of mechanical systems preferably in medical product development or manufacturingSkillsProven experience in the design & development and analysis of mechanical systems, structures and enclosures preferably related to medical equipmentHigh level of expertise in SolidWorks (part, assembly, sheet metal, drawing, simulations, Tol Analyst) and AutoCADStrong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, selection of standard components, material properties and manufacturing processesExperience in pressure die casting and plastic injection molding process is a plusProficiency in engineering calculations and FEA simulationProficiency in GD&T and tolerance stack up analysisProficiency in design and manufacturing of parts with tight tolerance specificationsProficiency in technical documentation and creating detailed manufacturing drawingsKnowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to mechanical design, preferably medical equipment designExperience in prototyping, testing and validation of mechanical systems and componentsFamiliarity with Design for manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principlesKnowledge of PLM tool like PTC Windchill is a plusExcellent problem solving and analytical skills with ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityAbility to collaborate with global cross functional teamsKnowledge of standards related to medical equipment design preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSGeneral Labor Environment requirements include use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.
