You should have a strong eye for mood, atmosphere, and visual storytelling, ensuring the final output meets artistic and technical standards. Key Responsibilities: Light 3D environments, characters, and props using industry-standard software to enhance mood, depth, and visual storytelling. Composite 3D render passes (e.g., beauty, specular, ambient occlusion, etc.) into final images or sequences. Collaborate with modeling, texturing, animation, and FX teams to ensure seamless integration of assets. Optimize lighting setups to ensure render efficiency and maintain visual fidelity. Apply color correction, grading, and other post-process effects to refine the final output. Troubleshoot lighting and render issues in collaboration with the pipeline and rendering teams. Maintain consistency of lighting and compositing across shots in a sequence. Stay updated on industry trends and software advancements. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong proficiency in 3D lighting and compositing tools such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, After Effects, Vray. Solid understanding of lighting principles, color theory, shadows, and reflections. Experience in multi-pass compositing and rendering workflows. Ability to match real-world lighting and integrate CG elements into live-action plates (if applicable). Knowledge of render optimization and efficient lighting workflows. Good communication and problem-solving skills. A solid portfolio or showreel showcasing lighting and compositing work in 3D environments.
