About Us :

We are launching a new bar and restaurant brand that combines exceptional food, innovative cocktails, and a lively atmosphere. We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Mixologist to lead our bar team, develop a unique cocktail menu, and help create an unforgettable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

Cocktail Menu Development & Innovation :

• Design and curate a signature cocktail menu that aligns with the brand’s identity, incorporating seasonal ingredients and the latest mixology trends.
• Experiment with new techniques, flavor pairings, and presentations to continuously elevate the beverage program.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure harmony between the food and drink offerings.

Bar Operations & Inventory Management :

• Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently during all shifts.
• Manage the bar’s inventory, ensuring accurate ordering, stocking, and rotation of beverages, garnishes, and bar tools.
• Ensure portion control and minimize beverage wastage to control costs while maintaining profitability.

Team Leadership & Training :

• Recruit, train, and mentor bar staff, ensuring they are well-versed in cocktail preparation, service, and presentation.
• Develop and conduct ongoing training sessions on mixology techniques, brand knowledge, and customer service standards.
• Create a positive, team-oriented culture while holding staff accountable to performance standards.

Guest Experience & Engagement :

• Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards and interacting with customers to understand their preferences.
• Be an ambassador for the brand, engaging with guests and creating personalized cocktail experiences.
• Handle special requests, VIP guests, and private events with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Quality Control & Presentation :

• Maintain consistency in cocktail preparation, taste, and presentation across all shifts.
• Regularly inspect the bar area, ensuring cleanliness, proper setup, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
• Continuously monitor guest feedback and adjust drink offerings as needed to meet expectations.

Vendor & Supplier Relations :

• Build and maintain strong relationships with beverage suppliers, negotiating contracts to ensure quality products at the best prices.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging products, trends, and new ingredients that can be incorporated into the beverage program.
• Coordinate with suppliers for exclusive or limited-edition offerings to set the bar apart from competitors.

Health & Safety Compliance :

• Ensure the bar complies with all health, safety, and liquor regulations, including hygiene, alcohol handling, and legal service limits.
• Maintain all required licenses and certifications for the bar and staff, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Implement best practices for the safe handling and storage of beverages and bar equipment.

Event & Promotion Planning :

• Work with the marketing team to develop promotions, events, and themed nights that drive foot traffic and elevate the guest experience.
• Create exclusive cocktail menus or drinks for special events, holidays, and brand partnerships.
• Participate in local and industry events, representing the bar/restaurant and establishing connections within the community.

Requirements :

• Proven experience as a Head Mixologist, Lead Bartender, or similar role in high-end bars or restaurants.
• Deep knowledge of mixology, cocktail trends, ingredients, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and inspire a team of bartenders.
• Exceptional creativity in cocktail development, with a keen eye for presentation and flavor balance.
• Strong understanding of bar operations, inventory management, and cost control.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a passion for guest interaction.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations related to the bar and beverage industry.
• Certification in mixology, bartending, or beverage management is a plus.
