About the Role:
We are hiring a Lead Software Engineer to architect and lead engineering efforts for our healthcare
platform, covering domains like health data analytics, secure messaging, image-based diagnostics,
and AI chat interfaces. You will define and drive microservice design, mentor engineers, ensure
high system reliability, and collaborate across teams to deliver production-grade features at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Design and lead the implementation of distributed microservices for:
- Healthcare data sharing and access control
- Real-time chat/messaging and AI conversation flows
- Medical image processing and analytics workflows
- Establish engineering best practices around CI/CD, testing, and fault tolerance
- Define API contracts and service interfaces across modules and teams
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product to deliver scalable solutions
- Apply performance tuning to Redis, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch for real-time workloads
- Handle production operations, including incident management, observability, and alerts
- Provide technical leadership through mentoring, design reviews, and code quality gates
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of backend development experience in Kotlin or Java
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture, REST APIs, and service orchestration
- Knowledge of Redis (cluster & standalone), OpenSearch, PostgreSQL
- Experience with messaging/chat systems, notification engines, or AI assistants
- Familiarity with image processing pipelines
- Exposure to production deployments on Kubernetes, Docker, AWS or GCP
- Strong leadership, debugging, and systems thinking skills
