Position : Retail Field HR

Location : Various retail outlets across Telangana/India

Reports to : Head of HR/Operations Manager


Role Overview:


The Retail Field HR will be responsible for overseeing the human resource operations at multiple Country Chicken Co. retail stores. This role focuses on recruitment, employee engagement, training, and compliance with labor laws to ensure smooth HR functioning in the field. The position involves traveling between various retail locations and working closely with store managers to optimize staffing and employee performance.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Recruitment & Onboarding :

• Handle the end-to-end recruitment process for retail store employees, including sales staff, butchers, and delivery personnel.

• Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and ensure effective onboarding.

• Manage employee induction, ensuring alignment with company policies and culture.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement :

• Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances and escalate when necessary.

• Ensure a positive working environment across retail stores, focusing on team engagement and morale.

• Conduct regular store visits to check on staff well-being, handle conflict resolution, and monitor store HR practices.

3. Training & Development :

• Develop and implement training programs for store employees to enhance product knowledge, customer service, and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate regular training sessions for new and existing employees to improve their performance and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

4. Compliance & Labor Law Adherence :

• Ensure all retail outlets comply with local labor laws, including wage regulations, working hours, and health and safety standards.

• Monitor and manage employee attendance, ensuring adherence to company policies.

• Oversee proper documentation of employee records and HR-related paperwork.

5. Performance Management :

• Work with store managers to conduct performance reviews and manage employee appraisals.

• Address underperformance issues and work on development plans for staff.

• Ensure KPIs are met in terms of employee efficiency and operational targets.

6. HR Reporting & Data Management :

• Collect and analyze HR data, including attendance, turnover rates, and employee satisfaction, and report these to the HR/Operations head.

• Maintain updated employee records for each retail location and provide accurate reports to management.

7. Employee Health & Safety :

• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations in stores, ensuring safe working environments.

• Implement wellness initiatives, including promoting work-life balance and stress management for field employees.


Skills & Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in retail or field HR roles.

• Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and travel to multiple retail locations.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on conflict resolution.


Preferred:


• Experience working in the food retail sector.

• Fluency in local languages (Telugu, Hindi) is a plus.
