Job Title: - Assistant Accounting Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting functions within the company. This role requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance. The Assistant Accounting Manager will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining fiscal discipline, and supporting the overall success of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have worked in construction accounting/contractor accounting, a person who has knowledge of % completion method of accounting and worked on project profitability.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for all aspects of the accounting operations and cash management of the Company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Duties:
1.     Continuously assess accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes, policies, and procedures, ensuring an efficient operation, maximizing use of technology.
2.     Ensuring control over actual expenses vs Budget.
3.     Oversee the use of Yardi, the Company’s Property and Accounting software.
4.     Manage and oversee cash position and forecast of the management company and each property.
5.     Manage the yearly audit and tax compliance process, including ensuring all information is in complete, accurate and available for the tax preparers and auditors.
6.     Recording invoices to accurate job and assigning cost to specific job.
7.     Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.
8.     Ensure the monthly close is complete with all general ledger accounts reconciled and analyzed, as appropriate, with variance analysis.
9.    Calculate management fees and reimbursements, Vendor management.
10.  Should have knowledge of preparing project profitability report and percentage completion of accounting.
11.  Coordinate, manage and review internal and external payroll resources to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Requirements:
1.         CA / CPA , in addition to real estate / construction industry experience.
2.         Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
3.         Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
4.         Must have excellent work ethic, high level of integrity and excellent follow-up skills.
5.         Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making.
6.         Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
7.         Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
8.         Superior ability to track and meet deadlines focused on overcoming obstacles.
9.         High level of computer skills, including extensive experience with Yardi, PROCORE or similar real estate accounting system.
10.       Ability to take initiative and manage teams effectively
Work Hours: 9.30 p.m to 6.30 a.m IST
