Envint is a young and fast-growing sustainability, climate change & ESG services firm. We're in search of passionate developers/students eager to delve into ESG and sustainability whilst contributing to impactful IT solutions for the sector.

We are seeking a person with experience in AI (artificial intelligence) integrations, fine-tuning models, and NLP to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a web application that leverages LLMs to analyze various document formats, extract key insights, and generate presentations and reports.

Responsibilities:

As an AI Intern, you will be involved in :

Data Integration:Ensure seamless data ingestion from various sources (APIs, databases, XMLs and document stores).Format and preprocess the data for efficient retrieval and embedding.

Model Training and Fine-Tuning:Assist in fine-tuning pre-trained language models for specific tasks, ensuring they understand the context of the documents.Experiment with different architectures and training techniques to improve model performance.

Retrieval System Development:Implement and optimize information retrieval systems to fetch relevant documents based on user queries.Utilize advanced search techniques, such as semantic search, and hybrid search, to enhance the retrieval process.

Evaluation and Metrics:Define and implement evaluation metrics to assess the accuracy and relevance of retrieved documents and generated outputs.Conduct A/B testing to compare different model configurations and retrieval strategies.

Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive documentation of the model architecture, data pipelines, and application functionalities.Prepare reports on model performance, usage statistics, and user feedback for stakeholders.

Continuous Learning and Adaptation:Stay updated with the latest advancements in RAG and related technologies, integrating new techniques as appropriate.Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with team members.

Qualifications:Candidates pursuing a Computer Science/Information Science Engineering/Sciences degree.Demonstrable coding skills; showcase your work on Github or similar repositories.Final year, penultimate year, and fresh graduates preferred.Proven experience in AI integrations, finetuning models, and NLP.

Tech Skills & Experience Desired:AI and Machine Learning Fundamentals:Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and AI concepts, particularly in natural language processing (NLP).Familiarity with concepts such as embeddings, semantic search, and model fine-tuning.

Programming Proficiency:Proficiency in Python, with experience in libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.

Data Handling and Visualization:Skills in data preprocessing, transformation, and storage using databases (SQL/NoSQL) and vector databases.Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly) for presenting results.

Generative AI Knowledge:Understanding of generative models, including experience with models like GPT, LLama, or other open-source alternatives.Awareness of current trends in RAG and generative AI technologies.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize model performance.Ability to approach problems creatively and find effective solutions.

Collaboration and Communication:Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical concepts clearly.A team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to learn from others and share knowledge.

Project Experience:Proven experience or projects that demonstrate the ability to build AI tools, particularly in the context of RAG applications.Ability to showcase previous work or projects related to AI, machine learning, or web applications during interviews.

Adaptability and Continuous Learning:A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies related to RAG and AI.Openness to feedback and iterative improvement based on user and team insights.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred):Familiarity with open-source models like Mistral, Gemini, or others from the Hugging Face ecosystem.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaborative coding and project management.Understanding of ethical considerations in AI and a commitment to responsible AI practices.Writes clean and well-documented code.

Desirable:Immediate availability. Bangalore-based candidates may be preferred. However, providing remote working is not a limitation for suitable candidates.

Stipend:INR 16,000 for the internship period. Based on interns' performance and mutual interest, interns will be evaluated for a job opportunity at the end of the internship.
