Position Overview
The Chief of Staff (CoS) will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team. The CoS will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, overseeing critical projects, Business Review, facilitating communication across departments, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, organizational management, and technical acumen to navigate the fast-paced and dynamic environment of the IT industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to define and prioritize strategic objectives.
Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives and monitor their progress.
Analyze industry trends to inform decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
Operational Efficiency:
Streamline cross-departmental workflows, collaboration and communication to improve productivity.
Develop and manage systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Leadership team and critical business roles.
Lead efforts to identify and mitigate operational risks.
Keep a close watch on organizational MIS, analyze the business progress and trigger the potential threats.
Project Management:
Manage high-priority projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Act as a central point of coordination for cross-functional initiatives.
Ensure resources are allocated effectively to support project success.
Track and record progress of key initiatives taken by the CEO.
Communication and Alignment:
Facilitate effective communication between the CEO, executives, and employees.
Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Represent the CEO in meetings, as needed, to maintain alignment and continuity.
Act as an extended arm of the CEO and provide unfiltered / unbiased feedback about people and processes in the organization.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Liaise with clients, partners, and vendors to support strategic initiatives.
Act as a trusted confidant and sounding board for the CEO.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably IT/Computer). Management degree from top tier management institute will be an added advantage.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience, preferably playing strategic role into IT Industry
Proven track record of managing complex projects and initiatives.
Previous experience of working with Tier 1 consulting firms.
Technical Acumen: Familiarity with IT systems, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
Leadership and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to understand and analyze MIS and share business findings.
Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Work Timings – Open to work during odd hours to ensure adequate overlap across business geographies.
Work Environment:
The role requires occasional travel to client sites and company offices. The Chief of Staff must be adaptable to changing business needs and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
