The Team Lead will lead JLL Research in JLL Business Services (JBS) and provide strategic oversight and guidance to our Research & Analysis team. This is a strategic leadership role with a high degree of stakeholder engagement, oversight of process management, and team development and leadership. The Team Lead will help recruit, manage, and mentor both Hubs’ team managers and ensure the Hub teams are delivering against objectives and expectations, including meeting performance metrics of quality, accuracy, and turn-around times.

This role will suit a high achieving leader of people and ideas, passionate about the opportunities for data and insights to help inform and guide clients and grow JLL’s businesses. As we build our Data and Research teams in JBS, this role will suit someone who is solution-oriented and has an entrepreneurial mindset. The Team Lead will possess knowledge and skills to effectively connect quality data to insight development for JLL businesses and clients.

What this job involves:

Strategic Oversight Support:Work with the Research Director in developing and implementing operating model and organizational structure for Research & Analysis Hub, in partnership with GREB.Responsible for sharing of best practices across the Data and Research & Analysis Hubs.Monitor and ensure adherence to agreed KPIs, service levels and delivery standardsManaging, checking and ensuring the quality of outputs for JLL Research, for other teams in JLL and for clients.Working closely with the Director to monitor team’s performance and collecting feedback from stakeholders and delivering feedback to the Hub leaders and teams.Connect and collaborate with aligned teams and colleagues across JLL Research and other JLL teams, contributing to cross-functional working teams and sharing insights. Operational Oversight:Work closely with Research Director to recruit, manage, train, mentor Research & Analysis Hub team members.Communicate, and monitor performance metricsResponsible for primary allocation and utilization of team members along with sharing metrics around utilization, volumes and other relevant reportingEnsure team's adherence to turnaround time and accuracy of activities undertaken by R&A Hub.Lead the team to fulfil customer expectations.Lead calls with matrix managers for resourcing, scoping and other process updates.Serve as player-coach in the Research & Analysis Hub, proactively delivering insights and research products that demonstrate our knowledge of real estate market conditions, trends, and forecasts (globally, regionally and in specific countries/markets).Ensure adherence to workflow processes and refine as needed. Technical: Serve as player-coach in the Research & Analysis Hub, proactively delivering insights and research products that demonstrate our in-country and local market knowledge of the real estate market conditions, trends, and forecasts, among others. Work with Research Director in collaborating with business stakeholders and clients, define and develop Research outputs, including for Research Advisory clients. In partnership with stakeholders, establish criteria for measuring the quality of data management input as well as visual analytic output and ensure that thresholds are met.

Desired Skills

Excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills, with strong operations skills Collaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic matrixed organization. A minimum of 9-12 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry or a related business or professional services sector. Effective written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated passion for business with a strategic understanding of how micro- and macro-level market dynamics impact the real estate industry. A self-starter with a proven track record in effectively setting and executing strategy, and organizational development and leadership, particularly in a matrixed environment. Excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills, with strong operations skills to assess and solution for multiple and competing demands from different areas of the Research organization. Collaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic matrixed organization. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry or a related business or professional services sector. Effective written and oral communication skills. A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.
