Job Summary

The Cataloging Executive is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate, engaging, and SEO-optimized product listings across multiple online platforms. This role is essential for ensuring the consistency, completeness, and appeal of product data to enhance discoverability and drive online sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Listing Creation:

  2. Create and publish product listings with complete information including titles, descriptions, attributes (material, size, color, weight), and pricing.

  3. Ensure all product content aligns with platform requirements and internal brand tone.

  4. Content Optimization:

  5. Write clear, engaging, and SEO-friendly product descriptions tailored for each platform (website and marketplaces).

  6. Research and apply relevant keywords to improve product visibility in search results.

  7. Image Coordination:

  8. Collaborate with the photography and design teams to ensure the availability of high-quality, correctly formatted product images.

  9. Upload and tag product images appropriately based on platform guidelines.

  10. Platform Management:

  11. Manage and update listings on e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa Fashion, and others.

  12. Ensure proper product categorization and accurate mapping of collections and variants.

  13. Data Accuracy and Quality Control:

  14. Conduct regular audits of live listings to correct errors in pricing, stock availability, tags, or content.

  15. Maintain SKU hygiene and update product details based on stock or catalog changes.

  16. Bulk Uploads and Excel Workflows:

  17. Prepare and manage bulk product upload sheets using Excel or platform-specific templates.

  18. Troubleshoot upload errors and maintain organized product data records.

  19. Marketplace Compliance:

  20. Stay up-to-date with marketplace guidelines and ensure all listings comply with their content and policy standards.

  21. Address listing rejections, errors, or suppression notices promptly.

  22. Reporting and Insights:

  23. Track catalog performance, listing accuracy, and content quality metrics.

  24. Provide feedback and suggest improvements for content, structure, and discoverability.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or related field.
  • 12 years of experience in cataloging, e-commerce content, or product data management.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with CMS tools and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub).
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, product tagging, and digital merchandising practices
