Lead Manufacturing Specialist

Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.). Overall target of the position
Drive and coordinate the execution of Shop shift operations (Balancing) in line with ISO:9001 & ISO:19443 along with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.

Demonstrate appropriate leadership behavior to guide the team and standard work/DMS
Responsible for overall job execution & performance of the balancing process, Resource management & allocation of work within the balancing team.
Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the balancing plan. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Require knowledge on the service ITO operations for preparation of offers for steam turbine rotors, diaphragms, casing, and generator rotor windings.
Involvement in discussions with Customer along with Engineering/commercial team wherever necessary
Participation of techno commercial calls right from R0 to R3 handover calls from PSIPL-Sanand side
Preparation of inputs in terms of hours and cost including Coordination between shop teams and engineering team

Roles and Responsibilities

EHS & Quality
Zero deviation in Safety standards, Promote EHS Concern reporting up to technician level.
Lead and Drive the Framework element requirement deployment.
Promote Open Reporting on any quality concern.
Lead and Drive Root Cause analysis for any NCRs/Customer Feedback
EHS Management: Participate to the risk assessment (RA)in his/her area, Implements preventive actions in line with EHS framework/LSPs/Arabelle Solutions applicable standards.
Drive nuclear safety culture awareness in shop floor.
Drive ITNS-I/A management and CFSI awareness among team members.

Manufacturing Execution
Plan monthly manufacturing schedule/queue along with Planning.
Monitor daily progress of manufacturing of all machines with loss analysis.
Raise Alarm for any overrun or component impacting OTD.
Monitor Utilization and work with Lean Manager to reduce losses.
Coordinate with Stakeholders like Quality/MMI for any customer hold points/manufacturing input requirements and DMS ownership
Monitor deployment of Autonomous Maintenance and work with maintenance team for major machine issues.
Book daily hours in SAP based on manufacturing progress.
Closely work with Process engineer for any improvement on current manufacturing process/new upcoming projects.
Coordinate with Engineering/Quality for faster disposition for any defects.
Support Functional Head during any external audit of EHS/Quality
Change Management monitoring.
Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations, contractors, and contingent workers.
Optimizing utilization of resources to achieve the production target.
Shop controls – shift plans, time booking, maintaining attendance, daily logbook, reporting of production data in the system, manpower planning.
Manage, Organise, monitor production operations as per plan, implement corrective action as necessary.
Track activities w.r.t to process sheet & process control plan.
Track / checks at every stage of repair as per QAP
Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Interact with related Departments, Clarify Deviations, give technical guidance to subordinates to ensure quality production meeting Statutory regulations at least time and cost.
Develop and improve process, foster suggestions from employees to reduce cycle time and cost.
Maintain housekeeping (5S), Guide, monitor and supervise compliance with all safety standard and environment policy and norms (in line with ISO- 14001 and OHSAS- 18001) to ensure safe and healthy working environment.
Communicate, Guide, motivate, interact with technicians, resolved disputes, initiate disciplinary action, if necessary, to ensure smooth production and congenial work culture
Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Ensures experience and lessons learned are properly fed back to FMEA analysis.
Review of service RFQ’s and its risk analyzation
Involvement in discussions with Customer along with Engineering/commercial team wherever necessary
Participation of techno commercial calls right from R0 to R3 handover calls from PSIPL-Sanand side
Preparation of inputs in terms of hours and cost
Coordination between shop teams and engineering team

People Leader
Maintain and Update Skill Matrix of all technicians along with their development plan.
Work with HR for new skill development on cross work centre working within machine shop.
Quarterly review of technician performance and rate their incentives.
Yearly review of technician performance for their increments
Mentor and Support Shift engineers on daily manufacturing execution.

Basic Qualifications(requirements):
BE/ B. tech/Diploma Mechanical with 10+ years of relevant work experience
Minimum knowledge on handling of latest high speed balancing software’s and concept on the low-speed balancing and high-speed balancing activities
Minimum knowledge on the varies balancing concepts and standards.
Interaction with Engineering & project management for jobs, if required
Understanding of safe practice and risk related balancing processes and EHS requirements.
Write and read of English & Hindi Language  
Require knowledge on the service ITO operations for preparation of offers for steam turbine rotors, diaphragms, casing, and generator rotor winding.
Knowledge on the service rotor concepts for preparation of offers for OEM and OOEM markets.
