Position: Jr. Engineer/ Engineer/ Sr. Engineer- SCM / Purchase- Forging & Casting.

Experience : 2 yrs. to 6 yrs.

Education : BE Mech /Production ( Preferred ) / DME ( Mechanical )

Job location: Nighoje, Chakan, Pune.

Critical Skills & Personal Attributes

* Should have Knowledge of sourcing processes, Low Cost Sourcing experience & Should Cost.

* Advanced skills in SAP (MM Module) Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.

* Hands on Experience in Capital Import Purchase.

* Should have Good problem solving & decision-making skills ,Long Term Contract experience

* Strong organizational & time management skills, with communication skills and relationship building ability

* Data Analysis & Change Management experience.

Roles and Responsibility:

* To Process Indent of RM / BO , local and import

* Float inquiry to supplier , get quote , prepare comparison statement .

* Release PO in SAP

* Responsible for coordinating with strategic Suppliers in proposal phase of Casting / Forging for Compressor Services for Internal Customer Support to insure compliance with customer requirements consistent with UCPL policies and procedures, to insure warranties, terms of payment, and cash flow are consistent with company requirements,

* Provide supplier recommendations and sourcing strategies on a project by project basis that supports UCPL value proposition and maximizes client satisfaction.

* Expedite supplier quotes Casting & Forgings in time for UCPL submittal to client.

* Manage supplier engagement as client bidding conditions evolve, Maintain up to date knowledge of supplier contacts, capabilities, capacities, strengths etc.

* Negotiate in time to ensure most competitive supplier quotes, Negotiation includes pricing, delivery, strategic partnership, flow down of onerous terms etc. for the responsible project

* Maintain technical understanding of Casting / Forging to negotiate effectively, ensure parity and strategize for negotiations.

* Participate in Sourcing Boards and provide inputs from Casting / Forging supplier standpoint, Participate in cost review meetings.

* Participate in risk assessment and mitigation discussion as necessary.

* Prepare Proforma contracts during award stage for fast processing of PO to suppliers.

* Attend kick off meeting with PPC to ensure smooth transfer of Casting / Forging supplier info.
