About Job:

You will be responsible for working across the Enterprise team to process, troubleshoot, monitor, and analyze the financial operational activity of the team. As a member of the rapidly growing Enterprise organization, you’ll play a key role in creating, testing, and advising on scalable processes that create internal efficiency as well as outstanding experience for the users, internal and external. This role provides value by monitoring daily operations, overseeing project financial activity, and escalating issues as needed.


Success in this role will require partnering closely with Emeritus Enterprise delivery and sales teams and collaborating with the Emeritus Corporate functions including Finance, Procurement, Legal, and University Partner.



Roles and Responsibilities


Collections Analyst:

  • Develop a process to actively monitor outstanding payment from business clients, including creating customizable collections notices at specific time periods.
  • Work with sales team to implement a standard but customizable collections process and be able to monitor and report on the progress.
  • Become a system expert to troubleshoot issues related to payment application.
  • Work through complexities of setting up multiple entities of Emeritus as a vendor in our client’s payable systems.
  • Prepare and analyze aging reports to track and manager overdue accounts.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements across finance, sales, systems, and other teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of collections.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate recoding of collections and adjustments.


Commissions Analyst:

  • Calculate commissions based on compensation plans that may be different by region, by person, and by fiscal year.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and solve discrepancies between the multiple CRM and ERP systems to align system data for commissions validation. Systems include Hubspot, Salesforce, and Emeritus’ proprietary system, along with reporting created by corporate teams.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed commission statements to employees.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, HR, and management to resolve any issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of commission plans and policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.


Other:

  • Provide backup support for client invoicing.
  • Support all process change initiatives as directed by Director, Enterprise Business Operations.


Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be able to attend scheduled meetings between 9am and Noon Eastern Standard Time.
  • Proficiency in English; Spanish and Portuguese is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related degree.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable role or ownership of vendor and expense processing on a team with a strong understanding of accounts payable principles, processes, and best practices.
  • 2+ years in an entrepreneurial start up environment and building strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • 5+ years working with ERP technologies and reporting tools.
  • Experience developing and implementing processes and instruction manuals preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required.
  • Solid understanding of, and professional experience, with Accounting, Budgeting, forecasting & data analysis.
  • Experience with reporting and monitoring Budget to Actual variances.
  • Models a growth mindset while solving vendor problems and communicating effectively across the organization.
  • Proactively identify risks and mitigation plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
