Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Taxation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in US taxation laws applicable to non-US financial institutions, compliance, and reporting, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee 1042-S and 1042 reporting, as well as 1099 reporting.
Implement and monitor FATCA policies and procedures to ensure compliance with
regulatory requirements.
Establish and manage Qualified Intermediary (QI) compliance functions.
Provide guidance on KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures and ensure alignment
with regulatory frameworks.
Analyse and report on corporate actions within the financial services domain.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and
compliant financial processes.
Stay updated on regulatory changes in US taxation and advise on necessary adjustments
to company policies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Proven experience in a financial institution, particularly in compliance or tax functions.
In-depth knowledge of US taxation laws as they pertain to non-US financial institutions.
Hands-on experience with FATCA implementation and QI compliance.
Familiarity with financial services processes, including KYC procedures and corporate actions.
