Job Summary
The GIS Full Stack Engineer is responsible for supporting the continued development of geospatial solutions across the Canibuild platform. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including web-based geospatial applications, backend data processing, automation, and analytics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative GIS applications integrated into the Canibuild platform using technologies such as Leaflet.js, PostGIS, Geoserver, QGIS, etc.
  • Integrate frontend GIS solutions into a React-based frontend.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and enhance existing GIS applications, tools, and web services.
  • Engage with the development team and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred total of 5 years of experience.
  • 3+ years of commercial Full Stack Development experience using React/Express/Typescript.
  • 2+ years of experience with GIS software development using technologies such as Leaflet.js, open layers/mapbox, PostGIS, Geoserver, QGIS, etc.
  • Knowledge of spatial databases, design, development, maintenance, and administration.
  • Good understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices (CI/CD, Cloud, etc.) and the entire SDLC process.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A conceptual thinker who can articulate and execute their vision from concept to production.
  • Ability to rapidly prototype web applications to showcase new concepts and ideas.
  • Possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A team player with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining backends using NodeJS/Express.
  • Willingness to work from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM IST, Monday to Friday.
