Amazon is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join the Prime Video Content & Publishing Lifecycle team.
We’re looking for a BIE who can help us drive data-driven decision-making and insights from Supply Chain data. In this role, you'll be a strategic partner of the product, tech & operations teams and work with them to drive improvements and create tools to provide visibility to trends and insights.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Identify, develop and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunity
- Learn and understand a broad range of data resources and know how, when and which data sources to use
- Deep dive into massive data sets, build data pipelines using SQL and dashboards using Tableau / QuickSight
- Present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders in both verbal and written form
- Manage and execute entire project from start to finish including problem solving, data gathering & manipulation, analysis and project management
- Convert business requests into technical requirements for data products.
- Collaborate with multiple tech and non-tech teams including Product, Program, Operations, Science, Engineering and other BIE teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
